While comparing days sequences, it has been discovered that bacterial proteins have been highly conserved during the evolutionary process. This is allowing our researchers to make educated predictions on the functions of most of the products of un-sequence genomes. This despite the fact that bacterial genomes differ significantly in gene sequencing. This has led to some fascinating research on the bacterial genome sequence to discover novel drug through analysing resistant genes and biosynthetic gene clusters.
